What should I wear during my spray tan?
Nudity is never required. Wear your own underwear, swimsuit or other coverage based on your comfort and the tan lines you want. Customly by Love does not provide black tops or bottoms, so please bring your own if you would like to wear them.
What should I wear after my appointment?
Bring loose, dark-colored, baggy clothing to put on after your tan. Avoid tight waistbands, leggings, bras and straps while the color is developing so they do not rub or mark the finish.
How should I prepare my skin?
Arrive as a completely dry canvas with no lotion or makeup. Exfoliate beforehand and complete waxing, shaving, manicures, pedicures and other beauty services before your appointment.
Do you bring hair protection?
Yes. Hair nets are provided and are highly recommended—especially for blonde, gray or other light-colored hair.
What space do you need for a mobile appointment?
A comfortable, clear area for the pop-up tent is preferred, and good lighting is important for the best application. The spray is contained inside the tent, so there is no spray-tan mess outside of the setup.
How long will my tan last?
Your tan will generally last 5–7 days. Skin preparation, shower habits, products and daily moisturizing can all affect how evenly it fades.
When should I rinse?
Classic formulas usually develop for 8–12 hours. For a Rapid Custom Tan, rinse with warm water at approximately 1, 2 or 3 hours for a light, medium or dark result, based on the personalized timing given at your appointment. The cosmetic bronzer will rinse away, while the tan continues developing for up to 24 hours.
How do I care for my tan after rinsing?
Your first rapid rinse is warm water only—not a full shower. Until development is complete, avoid soap, shampoo, shaving and exfoliating unless your personal instructions say otherwise. Afterward, use a gentle sulfate-free body wash, moisturize daily with an oil-free lotion, avoid harsh soaps and oils, and pat skin dry to help preserve your color.
